Karachi receives light drizzle, showers as weather turns pleasant
KARACHI: Several parts of Karachi witnessed moderate to heavy rainfall on Friday morning which changed the weather in the metropolis.
The city has been covered by dark clouds as heavy downpours are expected in the day. Many parts of the city witnessed light drizzle early morning including Korangi, Landhi, and Shah Faisal while heavy showers were reported in other areas.
According to reports, the city will be partly cloudy. The current temperature of the city is 28 degrees Celsius with winds blowing at a speed of 10 km per hour.
The maximum temperature will remain between 32 to 34 degrees Celsius. Winds will blow at a speed of 15 km per hour during the day.
Meanwhile in Islamabad, the weather is expected to remain cloudy with strong winds and thunder showers expected during the day. Various parts of the city are experiencing intermittent rainfall
In Balochistan, the weather will remain hot and humid in most districts of the province. According to the Meteorological Department, rain with strong winds and thunder is expected in Barkhan, Kalat, Khuzdar, Mosikhel, Shirani, Ziarat, Loralai, Nasirabad Kohlu, Zhob and adjacent areas
Heavy rains are expected in Sibi, Kohlu , Barkhan, Dera Murad Jamali, Dera Allah Yar, and Naseerabad. In Quetta, the maximum temperature was recorded at 37 degrees : 35 degrees Celsius in Jiwani, 33 in Gwadar, 33 in Pisni and 34 degrees Celsius in Ormara,
The hottest area was Nohkundi where a maximum temperature of 47 degrees Celsius, 42 degrees Celsius in Dalbandin, 38 degrees in Zhob, and 35 degrees in Barkhan. Khuzdar recorded 30 mm of rain, 05 mm in Barkhan and 01 mm in Zhob during the last 24 hours.
