We hope state institutions to play their constitutional roles: Fawad
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Fawad Chaudhry said Saturday that the bugle for the long march will be sounded any time.
While talking to the media, Fawad Chaudhry said that Islamabad police have been continuously guarding the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) office for three days in a row while the city is braving street crime.
While terming the verdict – announced by the commission that disqualified the PTI Chief Imran Khan in Toshakhana reference – a slap on the nation’s face, he said that the watchdog’s office has been sealed by the police force.
He opined that Imran Khan was disqualified brutally and the decision was taken behind closed rooms. “Protests were witnessed nationwide against the attempt to bring Imran Khan parallel to Nawaz Sharif.”
Touching on the ‘minus-one’ issue, the PTI leader said that the minus-Imran Khan plan will never be succeeded and the nation has unreservedly rejected the verdict.
It is pertinent to mention here that on Friday ECP disqualified Imran Khan in the Toshakhana reference against him and quashed his NA membership too.
