KARACHI: The Sindh High Court(SHC) ordered the Inspector General (IG) Sindh to deploy 50 percent of the Special Security Unit (SSU) force for investigation and operation purposes.

During the hearing in the Sindh High Court, the court expressed annoyance over the deployment of the full force of SSU on VIPs security.

Justice Salahuddin Panhwar ordered IG Sindh to deploy 50 percent of SSU’s force in investigation and operation, saying that the law and order situation is worst in Karachi and Upper Sindh.

The court remarked that the free movement of people is also difficult and special commandos are deployed on the duty of VIPs. He further remarked that the job of highly trained commandos should be public security instead of VIPs.

Justice Salahuddin Panhwar said that IG Sindh should transfer 50% of personnel to the operation and investigation and submit a report by November 21.
