ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Thursday met United Nations General Assembly President Mr. Csaba Korosi in New York.

Chairman Pakistan People’s Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari met with the President of the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly, Mr. Csaba Korosi, in which various topics were discussed including the effects of climate change, water crisis, and sustainable development goals.

Meanwhile, the Foreign Minister thanked the UN General Assembly for passing the resolution expressing solidarity with Pakistan due to the flood disasters.

On the other hand, General Assembly President Mr. Csaba Korosi appreciated Pakistan’s successful leadership of the Group of 77 and China and also invited the Foreign Minister to participate in the upcoming United Nations Water Conference in March 2023.

During the meeting, Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari assured the President of the UN General Assembly of Pakistan’s full support and cooperation.

Earlier, Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto addressed the Security Council on the topic of “restoration of international peace and security” and said that Pakistan welcomes this open discussion on international peace and security. “On behalf of the Indian Presidency. I would like to respond to the concept note sued on ways to improve and reform multilateralism” he added.

Bilawal Bhutto said, “We live in a complex world of diverse civilizations, we face many threats and challenges in the transition to a multi-polar power structure, these challenges also offer us unprecedented development opportunities.”
