Cold, dry weather prevails in most parts of country

• The weather will remain cold and dry in Islamabad, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Murree and Galyat.
• While fog is likely to fall in some plain areas of Punjab, including Upper Sindh and Potohar region.
• However, northern Balochistan of the country will be very cold.

KARACHI: Pakistan Meteorological Department(PMD) on Sunday predicted that the weather will remain cold and dry in most parts of the country.

The weather will remain cold and dry in Islamabad, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Murree, Galyat, and most of the districts of the country and the northern areas.

While fog is likely to fall in some plain areas of Punjab, including Upper Sindh, Potohar region, Dera Ismail Khan, Nowshera, Mardan, Charsadda, Jhelum, Lahore, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Faisalabad, Toba Tek Singh, Okara, Sahiwal, Bahawalpur Bahawalnagar, Multan, Sukkur, Larkana, and Mohen-jo-Daro.

However, northern Balochistan of the country will be very cold, while the weather will remain partly cloudy in Kashmir and Gilgit, including the upper districts.

According to the data of the Meteorological Department, the minimum temperature recorded today was minus 9 in Skardu, minus 8 in Leh, minus 6 in Gopis, minus 5 in Gilgit and Astur, minus 4 in Kalat and Hunza, and minus 3 degrees Celsius in Ziarat and Quetta were recorded.
