ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Friday issued orders against PTI Senator Azam Swati’s plea regarding details of cases against him that the high court could not issue orders to other cities.
The court while remarking on the multiple cases against Swati asked the petitioner to seek the relevant forums as the court could not issue orders to Sindh and Balochistan.
Chief Justice Aamer Farooq announced the reserved decision on Swati’s plea.
However, the judge emphasized that a mechanism should be created to link police stations across the country.
“Authorities might also suggest any other mechanism in this regard,” the court said.
On the other hand, Sindh High Court (SHC) on Thursday ordered the prosecutor general and IG Sindh to present a final report regarding the cases on PTI leader Azam Swati in the controversial tweet case.
The court inquired about the cases on Azam Swati to which the prosecutor general said that cases against him have been registered in different districts of the province.
IG Sindh maintained that the cases against the PTI leader have been quashed on the basis of the unavailability of significant evidence.
