LAHORE: Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan is likely to shift to Bani Gala in the first week of January.
Sources said that former prime minister wants to return to Bani Gala in the first week of January, while the Bani Gala Secretariat was also instructed to complete the arrangements.
Sources said that Chairman PTI will take the final decision after consultation with the party leaders and doctors’ opinions.
It should be noted that former prime minister is staying in Lahore after the attack in Wazirabad on November 3.
Earlier, PTI Chairman Imran Khan called a meeting of the senior leadership of the party at Zaman Park today on the matter of resignations from the National Assembly and the vote of confidence of Chief Minister Punjab.
The meeting of the senior leadership of the party will be held today at 4 pm under the chairmanship of former prime minister.
Party sources said that the ongoing anti-government movement will be reviewed in the meeting and the strategy for resignations from the National Assembly will also be considered.
The sources said that matters related to the vote of confidence of Chief Minister Punjab will be discussed in the meeting and there will be consultation on the joint parliamentary party meeting of PTI and Muslim League-Q to be held on January 2.
Apart from this, to fulfill the quorum of 186 members in the meeting, the PTI leadership will also assign the duties of important leaders while Imran Khan will also bed informed about the future political strategy in the meeting.
Sources said that in the meeting, PTI Chairman Imran Khan will give guidelines on the ongoing economic, energy, inflation, and other issues.
The party sources further said that Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Asad Umar, Fawad Chaudhry, Farrukh Habib, and other senior leaders of the party will participate in the meeting.
