ISLAMABAD: Significant progress has been made in the probe of the suicide blast in Islamabad that took place days ago and it was revealed that the suspect entered the capital from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to sources, it has been revealed that the suspected terrorist came to Islamabad from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on the day of the blast.
It was also disclosed that the suspect took a bus from KP and was first seen at Purodhai Bus Terminal, then the presence of the suspected terrorist was revealed through geo-fencing in the I-10/4 area. However, it has to be investigated whether he met someone at the bus terminal or not.
Sources further said that the suspected terrorist was traveling with explosive material and a suicide jacket and he was in contact with someone over the phone.
Pertinently, a suicide blast took place in Islamabad when cops tried to stop a suspicious vehicle and the bomber exploded himself.
The blast left one cop martyred while several were reportedly injured in the attempt.
Notably, security has been alerted in the capital and a special security plan has been devised by the police.
At least 25 temporary security check posts have been established at different locations in the city.
