KARACHI: The port city has sadly been leading the list of most polluted cities in Pakistan while standing third globally.
Meanwhile, Lahore with a bit of improvement moved down to number six on the global list.
The amount of polluted air in Karachi is recorded at 180 particulate meters.
While the amount of polluted dust in the atmosphere of Lahore is recorded at 164 particulate meters.
Notably, 151 to 200 degrees of pollution is harmful to health.
Earlier, Lahore topped the list of the most polluted cities in the world as the amount of polluted air was recorded at 348 particulate meters. While Karachi was at eighth place in terms of pollution.
Pollution from 151 to 200 levels is harmful to health, while pollution from 201 to 300 levels is extremely harmful to health.
It should be noted that more than 301 levels indicate dangerous pollution, and health experts have advised respiratory and asthma patients must be careful.
