Nawaz Sharif is expected to return by mid-January: Sources

• Nawaz Sharif is expected to be in Pakistan by mid of January
• PML-N will first take the protective bail for Nawaz Sharif from Islamabad High Court
• Sources have said that the former prime minister will land in Islamabad at the suggestion of party leaders

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-(PML-N) Supremo Nawaz Sharif is expected to return in mid of January.

Sources privy to the matter disclosed that PML-N will first take the protective bail for Nawaz Sharif from Islamabad High Court (IHC).

It was also said that Nawaz Sharif upon his return will appear in the court to face the cases against him.

Sources have said that the former prime minister will land in Islamabad at the suggestion of party leaders.

On the other hand, IHC has granted protective bail to the son of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Salman Shehbaz, upon his return to Pakistan.

Salman Shehbaz prior to his return requested the court to issue him bail but the high court asked him to surrender before December 13.

Upon his return, Salman Shehbaz appeared before the court and got bail for 14 days.
