ISLAMABAD: The National Security Committee (NSC) meeting with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in the chair has ended on notes to fight the scourge of terrorism in Pakistan.
Given the recent soaring wave of terrorism in Pakistan, the meeting was called by the premier at the PM House today that was attended by the high-level military and civil leadership.
Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari and military chiefs were present at the occasion.
As per sources in the know, the meeting concluded with the aim to combat terrorism by all means and during the session, the reasons behind the rising wave of terrorism in Pakistan were underscored and the forum agreed to intensify the operations against the terrorists.
Sources have also revealed that the prime minister vowed to end terror in the country and those who challenged national security will not find a place to hide.
“We will continue to move forward with the determination to end threats to national security,” he added.
