Parvez Elahi says will move forward with Imran Khan
LAHORE: Parvez Elahi, Chief Minister of Punjab, on Saturday said he was satisfied with Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan’s decision and would move forward with him.
“I am satisfied from the day one. We have an old association with him,” Parvez Elahi said while talking exclusively with Bol News, following Imran Khan’s announcement regarding dissolution of assemblies.
Meanwhile, Imran Khan has announced to dissolve the Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa assemblies on Friday, December 23.
He said this while addressing a public gathering at Liberty Chowk via video link, while flanked by Chief Minister Punjab Chaudhry Parvez Elahi and Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan.
Imran Khan said the decision was necessary as free and fair elections were essential for economic stability as the nation was sinking. “I fear the gang of thieves imposed on the country. Unless free and fair elections are not held, there will remain a fear that the country might sink,” he said.
He said businessmen had lost their investments and over 750,000 people including skilled workers had left the country in disappointment for the looters came to power. “You can ask any industrialist, labourer, and farmer; their finances cannot be managed amid the ongoing economic situation.”
