ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has convened meeting of the federal cabinet on December 28, Bol News reported.
The federal cabinet would take a decision on implementation of measures for energy conservation. A report regarding consultation with provinces on measures for conservation of energy would be submitted to the federal cabinet.
Proposals of closing shops and commercial centres at 8:00pm and marriage lawns and restaurants at 10:00pm will be discussed in the meeting.
A report of the ministerial committee on Toshakhana would be floated in the cabinet. Sources said amendment in the rules of Toshakhana on massive level was prepared.
On December 22, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had directed all departments concerned to speed up transparent bidding of solar power plants as solar energy was inevitable for improving the economy and reducing the import bill in terms of fuel.
Prime Minister Shehbaz was chairing a meeting in Islamabad regarding the promotion of solar energy in the country.
The prime minister had said necessary steps should be taken to promote the use of solar energy at the private level while maximum government buildings in the country should be converted to solar before the start of summer season.
