KARACHI: Different factions of the Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) will announce reuniting with the party on Thursday (tomorrow), BOL News reported.
The decision will be announced at the MQM headquarters in Bahadurabad. Disgruntled party leader Dr Farooq Sattar, who runs his own faction known as MQM Bahali Committee, and Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) Mustafa Kamal will announce rejoining the part.
Farooq Sattar and Mustafa Kamal will be given the post of senior deputy convenor. PSP leader Anis Qaimkhani will be given the responsibility of handling organizational matters and the post of deputy convenor.
The activists of PSP and Farooq Sattar group have also been consulted on reuniting with the MQM. The officials will be given responsibilities after joining the party. The decision will be officially announced tomorrow evening through the press conference.
It must be mentioned that efforts have been made in recent weeks to reunite the different factions of the MQM. Governor Sindh Kamran Tessori has played a key role in reuniting the various factions.
Tessori met Dr Farooq Satttar, Mustafa Kamal and Muhajir Quami Movement (MQM-Haqiqi) chief Afaq Ahmed and invited them to reunite with the MQM.
While Afaq turned down the offer to reunite, Faroow Sattar and Mustafa Kamal agreed to support the MQM’s political movement.
