Imran accuses PML-N being involved in his murderous attack
Former prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has accused the PML-N and the then establishment of being involved in his murderous attack.
He said this while addressing a press conference in Lahore on Thursday.
Imran added that he had known their conspiracy that was why he informed the people in his two public meetings before the assassination attempt on him.
He appealed the Chief Justice of Pakistan Umar Ata Bandial to take the notice of the incident and a powerful committee under the supervision of the CJP should be formed to probe the murderous attack.
He said that he had earlier stated this as well that he only hope for justice from one place [SC] as powerful people will not allow the investigation to take place.
Imran also asked the establishment, which is supposed to be defenders of the country, how it got involved in their nefarious plan of assassinating the former prime minister of Pakistan.
Hinting at the involvement of the armed forces in his attack, Khan said that although the Pakistan Army was a top institution that serves its country, there are “black sheep” in every institute.
“Now, I want the person who planned to have me killed to cooperate with the JIT. These people are intentionally obstructing justice,” the ex-premier said.

He claimed they had made two plans – A and B – to kill him but when they had failed in their first plan and then they implemented their Plan-B to assassinate him in the name of religious hatred
He further said that one ‘man’ had played a vital role in removal of the PTI government.
He claimed that he had already been informed by some insiders of the intelligence agencies that a conspiracy was being chalked out to kill him in the name of extremism.
He lambasted the PML-N leadership for using the name of religion for killing him, who had never named Islam in foreign countries and always presented themselves abroad as modern and liberal.
He added that the PML-N leaders misguided the world and asked them to support the PML-N otherwise the extremists would come to power in Pakistan.
The former premier said that he was the only prime minister of Pakistan, who raised the voice for the issues of the Islam and Muslim Ummah at every international forum.
He highlighted the roles of different persons and institutions and their alleged involvement in his murderous attack in Wazirabad.
Imran said that the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) rejected to provide call record of the arrested shooter.
“The background in the video statement was changed. CTD and its officers are subordinate to the Punjab government but someone else is more powerful than us who stopped them from being part of the investigation.”
He recalled that his words had been proved that he was not attacked not by one person but other assailants were also involved. He explained when he was hit by bullets and fell down. He felt some bullets also passed over his head.
He recalled that Waqar Satti, a journalist, brought a video against him and blamed him that Imran blasphemed Islam. Then the PML-N leaders including Maryam Nawaz, Rana Sanaullah and Khawaja Asif used the video and propagated against him, adding the PTV had been ordered to air the video for four days and maligned him.
He said that he was attacked in Wazirabad during the PTI long march and got injured but luckily the attacker was held but the accused’s statement was recorded in the police station and sent to anti-PTI journalists, who tweeted the statement immediately.
He expressed his astonishment that he had hardly reached Shaukat Khanum Hospital, the video of the accused Naveed’s statement was surfaced and given to some selected journalists and media houses, who are deemed anti-PTI elements. The joiurnalists and media houses aired the statement and tried to tint the assissination bid a religious colour.
The PTI chief said that Naveed claimed he was working alone. “He was programmed to say this.”
The ex-prime minister claimed that the suspect was asked to say that he was working alone as if there had been someone aiding him, then he could not be called a “religious fanatic”.
Khan said the police quickly recorded the video statement of the suspect and disseminated it among “journalists and television channels” who work against the PTI.
The PTI chief claimed that Naveed was not a random religious fanatic rather he was a trained shooter. “And I know this because I have practised shooting.”
Blaming the police for not following orders, he said that the officers at the police station where the suspect was held, did not cooperate with the relevant authorities.
He also highlighted the suspicious role of the DPO, who got the statement of the accused recorded by his own mobile phone and later sent it to some important persons and they dispatched it to journalists and media houses.
He added that the DPO did not cooperate with the JIT and refused to hand over his mobile phone for probe to the JIT.
He said that the DPO was a servant of the Punjab government where the PTI is in power but the DPO was following the order of some other quarters.
He said that he could not get the FIR of his murderous attack registered, raising the questions who was supporting the DPO and ordering him against the PTI. He explained the whole episode of the attack, adding that no institution helped the JIT, which is investigating the incident.
Khan said that he is raising many questions before the nation about the individuals who were involved in carrying out the attack on him. “I know the people who are behind the assassination plot. If this can happens with a former prime minister, then what is the value of other people. The law should be same for the powerful and weak.”
