ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has postponed addressing a convention of Overseas Pakistanis due to party engagements, BOL News reported.
Imran Khan was expected to an Overseas Convention via video link. However, the speech has been postponed due to important party meetings.
The PTI is gearing up for the vote of confidence by Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi. It has also decided to expedite the campaign demanding fresh elections across the country.
Chairman PTI Imran Khan has assigned the task to the party leaders on the issue of the trust vote of Chief Minister Punjab. Speaker of Punjab Assembly Sibtain Khan, Parliamentary Leader Usman Buzdar, and Senior Provincial Minister Mian Aslam Iqbal have been entrusted the task.
Provincial Minister Mian Mehmood-ul-Rashid and Chief Whip Syed Abbas Alamdar have also been assigned responsibilities.
Imran Khan instructed that the party leaders should complete the process of contacting the members of the assembly soon, after the vote of confidence, further steps will be taken according to the party’s decision.
He further said that the process of contacting the members should be completed in the Punjab Assembly session to be held on January 9.
