In a tweet today, the PTI chief said: “As per media reports, JIT members are being pressurised to distance themselves from the findings of JIT investigating assassination plot against me”.
“This further confirms my conviction that powerful quarters were behind the assassination attempt on me,” he said.

On November 3 last year, an armed man opened fire at PTI Chairman Imran Khan during the ‘Haqiqi Azadi’ long march rally in Wazirabad.
One person was killed worker died and at least fourteen others, including the former prime minister and were injured in the attack. The Punjab government constituted a JIT probe the attack.
The investigation team reportedly found that the attack was carried out from three different shooting sites. Imran Khan and PTI leaders have insisted that three shooters were involved in the attack on him.
Last week, PTI Senior Vice-President Fawad Chaudhry claimed that the assassination attempt on Imran Khan was carried out by three attackers from different sides.
He said the investigation proved three attackers were involved in the attempted assassination attack on Imran Khan. He said no shot was fired by Imran Khan’s guards. He also alleged that the attack on Imran Khan was premeditated with the intention to kill him and instigate fear.
Regarding the injuries sustained and the amount of bullets fired at the attack site, Fawad said Imran Khan received eight wounds including bullet injuries.
He said fourteen bullets were found on the ground, 12 from one place, and two from another, while nine bullets were found from a building opposite the attack site.
The former information minister said only one attacker has so far been arrested, while the search for the other two continues.
He also alleged a shooter was sent to kill the accused Naveed who was caught by a PTI supporter as he tried to flee the attack site. He claimed that Moazzam, a participant in PTI rally who was killed in the attack, was shot by the bullet meant to kill Naveed.
