A speeding passenger coach overturned near Jamshoro Toll Plaza.
HYDERABAD: One passenger was killed and 20 others, including women and children, were injured when a speeding coach turned turtle on the highway near Jamshoro, Bol News reported.
According to reports, the incidents occurred at the Jamshoro Old Toll Plaza, when a passenger coach going inland from Karachi overturned after the driver lost control and fell in the ditch.
As a result, more than 20 people, including women and children, were seriously injured. The passenger coach fell near the bypass bridge. Local residents and volunteers started a rescue operation and evacuated the passengers from the vehicle.
There were more than 50 passengers in the coach. The injured passengers were taken out and transferred to LMU Hospital, Jamshoro and Hyderabad.
A passenger identified as 35-year-old Arshad Ali s/o Bedal died in the incident. Among the injured are Talib Abro, Iqra Kalhoro, Khalid Aslam, Junaid, Noor Fatima, Murtaza, Muhammad Shahid, Muhammad Saeed, and others,
Four passengers were admitted to the intensive care due to their critical condition. According to the police, the injured are from Matiari, Nawabshah, Sukkur and other cities.
