LAHORE: Following the dissolution of the Punjab Assembly and the provincial cabinet, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has started the preparations for the PA elections in full swing, BOL News reported citing sources.
Sources in the know said that Nawaz Sharif has directed the party leaders to fully prepare for the Punjab Assembly for the assembly elections.
It is also said that the decision to distribute tickets for the Punjab Assembly elections will be taken by the parliamentary board, which is likely to be formed in two to three days.
After the formation of the boards, applications will be asked from the candidates and Maryam Nawaz will also be consulted on the recommendations of the parliamentary board, but the final approval will be given by the President of the National League, Shehbaz Sharif and Nawaz Sharif.
The development surfaced as CM Punjab Pervaiz Elahi dissolved the assembly at the directives of PTI Chief Imran Khan.
