KARACHI: A source close to Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) said Tuesday that the deadlock with MQM on the matter of delimitation of constituencies before LG polls in the city remains stock-still.
The source while exclusively talking to BOL News said that both parties are locked horns over the matter and the situation is still the same even after yesterday’s late-night meeting.
The source said that during the meeting PPP stood to its grounds that the party has already fulfilled the demands of MQM and now they cannot change the constituencies.
PPP was of the view that the administrator Karachi was appointed at the demand of MQM and the opinion was backed by Asif Ali Zardari and Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah.
On the other hand, a source close to MQM said that the party won’t allow anyone to occupy the city and the party is also unhappy with the recent statement of Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
Pertinently, a meeting was held last night between MQM and PPP regarding the matter and the talks remained failed to make any headway.
The core issues that were discussed during the session didn’t reach a conclusion and the parties may meet again sometime soon.
