The 8th multinational naval Aman Exercise commenced in Karachi on Friday that will continue till 14th of this month.
Commander Pakistan Fleet Vice Admiral Owais Ahmed Bilgrami was the chief guest of the opening ceremony.
A message of Chief of Naval Staff Mohammad Amjad Khan Niazi was also read on the occasion in which the Naval Chief that Pakistan Navy will continue its role as the frontline force foe the peace and maritime security.
He said the Aman Exercises are aimed at to ensure regional peace and security. He said we appreciate the ones coming forward for the peace, stability and harmony in the world.
Addressing the ceremony, the Vice Admiral welcomed more than 50 countries that are participating in the exercise.
He said the objective of the exercises is to promote peace, harmony, friendship and partnership among the participating countries.

Earlier on Thursday (Feb 9), Pak-Turkiye joint military exercise “ATATURK-XII 2023” concluded at Tarbela.
Troops from Turkish Special Forces and Pakistan’s Special Service Group participated in the exercise.
The Two-week long exercise was aimed at sharing mutual experiences in counter terrorism domain, rehearsing and adopting best practices as well as enhancing cooperation between the two armies.
Drills and techniques regarding Compound & Cave Clearance, Sniper Training, Improvised Explosives Devices handling and Combat Medic training were special focus areas of the joint exercise.
This is 12th joint exercise of the Ataturk series is part of bilateral military cooperation between both friendly countries.
