Deputy Director of private school system gunned down in Karachi

• The incident was reported in Gulistan e Jauhar area.

KARACHI: Deputy Director of private school system and Vice Chairman Federation of Private Schools  Syed Khalid Raza was gunned down by unidentified armed men in  Gulistan-e-Jauhar area of Karachi.

The police and rescue officials rushed to the scene and shifted the deceased to the hospital.

According to local, two armed assailants riding a motorcycle opened fire on Khalid Raza. They further said that the suspects were seen multiple times in the area, adding that they had informed the police about them but the authorities turned a deaf ear to their complaints.

According to police, a person has been killed in Gulistan-e-Jauhar Block 7.

Senior Superintendent of Police (East) Zubair Nazeer said the murder apparently was motivated by some personal enmity.

The further investigating is underway as nothing was snatched from  Khalid Raza by the armed assailment.

On the other hand, President All Pakistan Private Schools Federation announced that private schools will remain close in Karachi on today as mourning and protest.
