ISLAMABAD: The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) approved Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan’s interim bail on Tuesday BOL News reported.
Previously, the Bail plea of PTI Chairman Imran Khan was filed in the ATC.
As per details, the plea has been filed by lawyer Naeem Haider Panjutha in the court of judge Raja Jawad in a case pertaining to riots outside ECP.
The petition maintained that Imran Khan has been named in the case due to political revenge. Imran Khan submitted in the plea that a case has been framed against him which he is not guilty of.
A request has been made to the court that an interim bail should be granted before the bail is confirmed in the anti-terrorism court case.
Earlier, the ATC had rejected his bail plea over non-appearance while maintaining that the PTI chief must appear in person to file the plea.
Notably, Imran Khan is to appear before courts today in four cases.
Imran Khan is to appear before the banking court in the funding case as he was summoned by the court and the decision regarding his bail is expected to be announced today. Judge Rakhshanda Shaheen will hear the case.
