Giran Naz recorded her statement against Balochistan Minister.
QUETTA: Giran Naz, who was allegedly kept captive by Balochistan Minister Sardar Abdul Rahman Khetran, appeared in court and recorded her statement.
Police presented Giran Naz, the wife of Khan Muhammad Marri, in the court of Judicial Magistrate 12 before Judge Samina Nasreen to recorded her statement under Section 164 (Power to record statements and confessions).
Giran Naz recorded the statement of her abduction and sexual assault in front of the court. Sardar Abdul Rahman Khetran was also present when the statement was recorded.
Police barred journalists from coverage and reporters were prevented from entering the court. Provincial Minister Khetran returned from the court under tight security after his appearance.
Balochistan Minister for Construction and Communications Sardar Abdul Rehman Khetran is accused of being involved in the gruesome murder of three people whose bullet-riddled bodies were found in a well in the Barkhan district.
Khan Muhammad Marri, a resident of Kohlu, had initially claimed that the deceased was his wife Giran Naz and their two sons. He alleged that five family members were still held captive by Sardar Khetran.
The triple murder case took a dramatic twist after the post-mortem examination of the bodies revealed that one of the deceased was a 17 to 18-year-old female. The police surgeon said the deceased was raped and tortured before being shot dead.
The medico-legal officer said that the autopsy found that the girl was shot thrice and acid was thrown on her face and neck to hide her identity. She said that the girl may not be Giran Naz but her daughter.
Levies personnel eventually recovered Marri’s wife Giran Naz who had been presumed dead and their five children including a girl from Kohlu.
Khetran has denied allegations of involvement in the gruesome murder of three people. He said the accusations of owning a private prison and the murder of three people is a conspiracy to damage my political reputation.
