Actions of caretaker Govt equal to attack on democracy: Imran Khan

• He said caretaker Govt stop scheduled rally of PTI.
• PTI chief said Govt is only responsible for conducting elections.
• Imran Khan said PTI toot out rally when barely 55 left in polls.

LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan has said that what this caretaker government is doing is an attack on the rule of law, constitution, and democracy.

In his Twitter message, former prime minister Imran Khan said the caretaker government of Punjab is brazenly following the path of contempt of the court to stop PTI’s scheduled rally. He said PTI workers is being subjected to the worst violence by the police. He caretaker government is only responsible for conducting free and transparent elections.

He said that what this caretaker government is doing is an attack on the rule of law, constitution, and democracy, above all, once the orders of the Supreme Court are blown up, the rest is just the law of the jungle.

Imran Khan also said that the five-member bench of the Supreme Court has ordered the holding of elections in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa within 90 days on April 30.
