QUETTA: The Balochistan High Court (BHC) has suspended non-bailable arrest warrant issued by the judicial magistrate for Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan for fortnight, Bol News reported.
The BHC judge, Justice Zaheeruddin Kakar has sent notices to the parties. The hearing into the case would be held on a constitutional plea after two weeks. Zaheeruddin has asked the lawyers to present their power of attorney in the next hearing.
The PTI Balochistan had filed the plea in the high court challenging the case against Imran Khan. Advocated Syed Iqbal Shah in the petition argued that the case could not be filed in the Bijli Road police station.
The allegation upon which the case has been filed does not fall in jurisdiction of the said police station. Hence, the FIR should be abolished, he sought.
Earlier, Superintendent Police City Nadeem Ahmed had reached Lahore with arrest warrant for Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan from court of a judicial magistrate in Quetta, Bol News reported.
The police team led by the SP comprising a DSP, Abdul Sattar Achakzai, a sub-inspector, Malik Hameed, two trained commandos, Qaiser and Sultan, and a driver, Ilyas, had come from Quetta.

CCPO Lahore Bilal Siddiq Kayana had been informed about the possible arrest of Imran Khan. Imran Khan was likely to be arrested and shifted to Muchch Jail.
