CTD arrests 12 terrorists, explosives recovered

LAHORE: The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) has arrested 12 terrorists from three cities including Lahore during a secret operation.

The CTD officials have said that the terrorists were identified during the interrogation of 61 suspects.

The information shared by CTD stated that three terrorists were arrested from Lahore near a sensitive area and they belonged to banned organizations.

Explosive and material for making suicide vests recovered from terrorists, the CTD added.

It is also been said that the terrorists were planning to carry out attacks in sensitive districts and an investigation is launched by filing cases against them.

Pertinently, 797 combing operations were carried out this week by CTD and the officials vowed not to spare any anti-state element.
