Former Governor Punjab Chaudhry Sarwar joints PML-Q
LAHORE: Former Governor Punjab Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar announced joining Pakistan Muslim League Quaid (PML-Q).
Speaking at a press conference, Chaudhry Sarwar thanked PML-Q chief Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and other party leaders for inviting him to join the party.
Chaudhry Sarwar regretted that politicians are not ready to set aside their personal differences even in this critical time, the country passing through. He urged all the political parties to jointly work for the betterment of Pakistan.
The former Governor of Punjab said when he consulted in Britain and Pakistan for joining the party, everyone said the same thing that Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain is an honest man and he played the role of connecting the country’s politics.
He said that he will make his party so strong that everyone will give priority to joining PML-Q. He added that Rescue 1122 is the best organization in Punjab which has not been changed by any government. He said overseas Pakistanis will be given representation in the parliament as a minority and women.
Earlier, Chaudhry Sarwar was a Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and Punjab governor during former premier Imran Khan’s government. He was removed from governorship days before the ouster of Imran Khan as prime minister
