Rain with wind, thunderstorm expected in most parts of country
ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has said rain with wind and thunderstorm is expected in North/ East Balochistan, South Punjab, Khyber Paktunkhwa, Sindh, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan during the next twelve hours.
Partly cloudy weather is expected elsewhere in the country.
Temperature of some major cities recorded this morning is as follows: Islamabad eleven degree centigrade, Lahore nineteen, Karachi twenty-three, Peshawar sixteen, Quetta eight, Gilgit nine, Murree six and Muzaffarabad twelve degree centigrade.
According to Met Office forecast for Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, cloudy weather with chance of rain wind-thunderstorm is expected in Srinagar, Jammu, Leh, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian and Baramula.
Temperatures recorded this morning: Srinagar, Pulwama and Anantnag eight degree centigrade, Jammu seventeen, Leh minus three, Shopian six and Baramula seven degree centigrade.
On March 19, the PMD had forecasted rain in Karachi, Bol News had reported.
Heavy rain with thundershowers might occur in the city on Sunday evening, it had said. The suburbs of the city had also witnessed heavy rain on March 18.
The raining system would leave the country tonight, it had added.
Then another series of westerly winds will move towards the country from March 22. By the first week of April, there will be sporadic systems in the country. Sea breezes are still suspended in the city.
