RAWALPINDI: Awami Muslim League (AML) Chief Sheikh Rashid Ahmed said Friday that the government has money for political luxuries but lacks resources for polls in the country.
He while taking it to Twitter said that PML-N has no intentions of holding the election on October 8 (the new date for elections) as they fear revenge from the nation.
Rashid also demanded action against the delay in elections and said Article 6 should be imposed. “Two assemblies were dissolved so the elections will take place in 90 days, Article 6 should be imposed within a week otherwise anything can happen in this country.”
AML chief also underscored that there is no issue of money or security for the elections, “If they do not have resources for elections in April, then from where they will manage the budget for polls in October,” he questioned.
Sheikh Rashid also disclosed that he is going to meet Imran Khan today at 3:30 pm in Zaman Park.
Slamming the government for arresting PTI workers and leaders he said that on one side they want grand political dialogue and on the other, they have been detaining the PTI workers.
“There is fear of Imran Khan’s clean sweep,” he added.
