PTI chief requests court not to transfer him to Adiala Jail
ISLAMABAD: A district and sessions court in Islamabad converted the non-bailable arrest warrant of Imran Khan to bailable arrest warrant in threatening female judge case.
The reserved verdict was pronounce by Additional Session Judge Faizan Haider.
In today’s hearing, Imran Khan’s lawyer Gohar Ali and prosecutor Rizwan Abbasi appeared before the court where Imran Khan’s counsel requested the court to summon his client on March 30 making a point that PTI chief is already appearing in court in Toshakhana case the same date.
The judge remarked that the counsel has been making a strange request as the arrest warrant are till March 29.
Lawyer Gohar Ali requested to extend Imran Khan’s warrant suspension till March 30. The court then inquired, “Has Imran Khan ever appeared in the court in the threatening case?”
To which the prosecutor replied that Imran Khan has never appeared in the case. The court then reserved the decision.
