JI announces to hold Gaza March before US embassy
ISLAMABAD: The Jamaat e Islami (JI) has announced to hold Gaza March before the US Embassy in Islamabad on October 29, demanding Israel to lift the siege and open routes for aid to Gaza, Bol News reported.
JI Amir Sirajul Haq said people should come out against oppression by Israel and express solidarity with Palestinians. He said the United States was hundred per cent behind the Israeli aggression.
“Wherever there is fasaad in the world, America has a hand in it. America also has a hand in India’s occupation of Kashmir,” Sirajul Haq said.
He said staying silent on the issue of Palestine was tantamount to supporting Israel. Thousands of people had been martyred in Palestine and the Palestinians had been imprisoned in their own areas, he said.
The JI chief said the Palestinians took the path of resistance instead of slavery. Palestinians were being buried in Gaza without a shroud, he added.
