
Lifetime arrest warrant issued for PTI’s Arsalan Taj
The Anti-Terrorism Court on Monday issued lifetime arrest warrant for PTI Karachi General-Secretary Arsalan Taj in case of sedition and interference in government matter.
The police’s efforts to arrest former Sindh Assembly member Arsalan Taj had been unsuccessful, prompting further legal action.
The court declared PTI leader Arslan Taj as an absconder and subsequently issued a lifetime arrest warrant for him.
The investigating officer presented a report to the court regarding the declaration of Arsalan Taj as an absconder, marking the completion of the process.
To further the case, the court summoned witnesses for the upcoming hearing, demonstrating the progression of legal proceedings.
The case against the accused PTI leaders revolves around allegations of interference in the government and inciting people against the country’s institutions.
The government filed a complaint that led to the registration of a case against Arsalan Taj in the Landhi police station.
The Anti-Terrorism Court has adjourned the case’s hearing until November 14.
Arsalan Taj was arrested the police in plain cloth on March 12 from his residence.
