Maulana Tariq Jameel offers funeral prayers for his son

MIAN CHINNU : Maulana Tariq Jameel offered the funeral prayers for his son, Asim Jameel, on Monday night in Mian Chinnu.

While addressing those in attendance at Asim’s funeral, Maulana Tariq Jameel expressed that the loss of a young son is a profound and devastating event for parents particularly.

He expressed his heartfelt appreciation to everyone who participated in his son’s funeral and described Asim as a kind and beloved individual. Maulana Tariq Jameel added that they find solace in Allah’s will, recognizing that life’s thread is destined to be severed one day.

Earlier, Asim Jameel’s elder brother, Yousaf Jamil, mentioned that Asim had struggled with depression since his childhood, and the condition had worsened in recent months.

He regretfully revealed that Asim was alone at home when the incident occurred, and he had taken a firearm from a security guard, using it to end his life.

Confirming the details, DPO Khanewal Rana Umar Farooq Salamat stated that Asim Jameel suffered a gunshot wound to his chest.

He also mentioned that a relative of Tariq Jamil had reported that Asim Jameel had taken his own life. The police have initiated an investigation into the incident.
