Ephedrine case: ANF moves SC against Hanif Abbasi’s acquittal

The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has approached the Supreme Court of Pakistan to challenge Hanif Abbasi’s acquittal in the ephedrine case.

ANF has filed an application in the Supreme Court challenging Lahore High Court’s decision to acquit Hanif Abbasi.

ANF demanded time to prepare on the case and obtain relevant documents.

The Registrar Supreme Court Office has given ANF another fourteen days time to file an appeal against LHC’s decision.

The Lahore High Court had acquitted Hanif Abbasi in the ephedrine case on October 18.

It must be noted that the trial court had sentenced Hanif Abbasi to life imprisonment in ephedrine case.
