Fawad Chaudhry sent to jail on judicial remand in fraud case
A District and Sessions Court in Islamabad on Wednesday sent former PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry to jail on jail judicial remand in fraud case.
Before this decision, Fawad Chaudhry had been in police custody for a day as part of a physical remand.
He was brought before Judicial Magistrate Yasir Mehmood, and during this legal process, his lawyer, Faisal Chaudhry, was present to represent him.
Interestingly, Fawad Chaudhry’s wife, Haba Chaudhry, and his brother, Faraz Chaudhry, were also in the courtroom, showing their support.
As the case was being discussed in the court, the plaintiff had not yet come forward.
Fawad Chaudhry seemed to express his lack of concern, saying, “If threatened, they will be police guards, not mine.”
He also made a remark about the possibility of recovering some money, suggesting, “If recovery is to be done, take five to seven thousand rupees.”
The judgment on Fawad’s remand this matter was reserved, and ultimately, the court decided to send former PTI leader to jail on judicial remand.
