Madhubala needs 3x bigger space at Safari Park: Four Paws

The Four Paws team has stated that the elephant Madhubala at Karachi Zoo needs a three times bigger space at Safari Park before her transfer.

There should also be adequate space for three elephants to move around, go to the pond and bathe in the mud, the four paws team said.

The team further said that the training to Madhubala for going in the transport crate has been completed and now she is going into the crate with ease.

Added that from now on, the Karachi Zoo administration will now take over the responsibility of its training.

Until now, no final date has been decided for the transfer of Madhubala from Karachi Zoo to the Safari Park.

The Four Paws team said that Madhubala’s transfer to the Safari Park is being delayed as the necessary permits and official documents for the transfer have not been obtained yet.

The team had earlier called upon the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) to let the organisation rescue and reunite zoo elephant Madhubala with her sisters at Safari Park.
