
Balochistan’s Dr. Alia Haider wins Frontline Climate Health Award
- Dr. Alia has set up free medical camps in the flood-affected areas of Pakistan.

Balochistan’s Dr. Alia Haider won the Frontline Climate Health Award at the World Conference COP 28, Bol News reported.
Dr. Alia has set up free medical camps in the flood-affected areas of Sindh, Balochistan, and Punjab in 2022 and provided free medical facilities to the flood victims. Dr. Alia has been awarded the award in recognition of her services.
Dr. Aaliya Haider belongs to the Hazara community of Quetta; she did her primary education at Nasl No Hazara School in Quettaa and at FSC Islamia Girls College Quetta, after which she went to China for MBBS.
After completing her MBBS from China, Dr. Alia Haider started rendering services in the regular medical field in Lahore, during which she was very active in the environment and social sector.
Dr. Alia Haider currently resides in Lahore, but her family resides in Quetta. Moreover, her sister, Jalila Haider, is a well-known lawyer and social and human rights activist.
It should be noted that earlier in COP 28, Pakistani school students also won the Zayed Sustainability Award related to climate change.
