Police nabs mastermind of D.I. Khan attack on security forces

Peshawar: Nine terrorist including the mastermind of the attack on the security compound in Dera Ismail Khan a week ago have been arrested by the security forces.

The police said that the mastermind involved in the terrorist attack belongs to Daraban area, while 7 facilitators involved in the attack have also been arrested.

The police have further added that the terrorist arrested in the attack Siddiqullah belongs to Darabin and six terrorist belongs to Afghanistan. Additionally, five terrorist are also from the banned TTP Gandapur group and Hasan alias Shakir involved in the suicide attack also belongs to Afghanistan.

The suicide bomber had also released a video before the attack. Moreover, Sifatullah, who was killed in the attack, belongs to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan. Identity card and other documents of the killed terrorist were also found.

Meanwhile, the father of the suicide bomber Siffat has confirmed his son’s connection with Islamic Emriate, while American-made arms and ammunition have been recovered from the attack.
