
Snowfall covers entire country, freezes Saiful Muluk lake
Cold has settled across the country, from Karachi to Khyber, cold winds are reigning, while the upper areas have been covered with snow due to snowfall.
According to sources, from Balochistan to Azad Kashmir, snowfall has started in the hilly areas tourists have flocked to the resorts to enjoy the sight of the snowfall.
It has snowed in Murree and the white cheeks falling from the sky have enhanced the beauty of Queen Kohsar. Along with this, the mountains of Dir and Swat also became mesmerizing with snowfall. Additionally, tourists have flocked to Murree, which has sent a wave of happiness to the hotel owners as well.
Due to the snowfall, the hills of Dir have also been covered with a white blanket, and the sides of the Lowari tunnel also got frosty due to the snowfall.
The mountains of Naran Kaghan have also received snow and Lake Saiful Muluk was also covered with snow. Snowfall of up to 6 inches was recorded from Bata Kundi, Jalkhad, and Lolosar Jheel Prachar. The highway leading to Babu Sar Top was closed due to snowfall, however, the stranded tourists at Babur Sar Top and Gayi Das were rescued.
On the other hand, snowfall has also started in South West Balochistan. Snowfall in Toba Achakzai, Kan Mehtarzai, and Ziarat while the rain in Chaman City has increased the intensity of the cold. The water pipes have frozen due to which the difficulties of the local people have increased.
North Waziristan is also likely to receive snowfall after a prolonged drought. Deep clouds have covered Showal, Razmak, and other mountainous areas. The meteorological Department has predicted rain in North Waziristan from tonight.
