Good news for Pakistani freelancers: Government announces the formation of 10,000 e-employment centers.
Caretaker Federal Minister IT Dr. Umar Saif in his video message said that 1.5 million Pakistani youths are freelancing online but they don’t have a proper place to be seated and work.
The IT minister said that youth earn 10 or 20 dollars a day, so they cannot buy their own generator or laptop, nor can they pay office rent.
He said that, considering the difficulties of freelancers, 10 thousand e-employment centers are being created where these freelancers will get opportunities to sit and work.
IT Minister said that we are giving interest-free loans to the private sector to convert their real estate into e-employment centers.
He said that when e-employment centers are established and 100 youths will work in one center, 10 lakh youths across the country will get opportunities to sit and work here.
Dr. Umar Saif said that with this initiative of the government, freelancers can earn 10 billion dollars annually.
Notably, Caretaker IT Minister Dr. Umar Saif has taken important steps for the facilities of freelancers. Earlier, an agreement has also been made with ‘PayPal’ to collect money.
