IELTS Academic Test
If you aspire to pursue studies at the undergraduate or postgraduate level globally or seek employment in a professional organization in an English-speaking country, it is advisable to opt for the IELTS Academic test.
IELTS General Training Test
If you plan to study at a level below a degree, work in an English-speaking country (either your own or abroad), or migrate to an English-speaking country, you can opt for the IELTS General Training test.
IELTS for UK
If you intend to relocate to the United Kingdom, there is a dedicated IELTS test designed for UK visas and immigration purposes.
Ways to Take IELTS Test
The IELTS test can be taken in two formats – either on paper or on a computer.
As of January 2024, there is a discrepancy in fees for the IELTS Academic Test depending on the format. The British Council charges Rs62,200 for the IELTS Academic Test on paper and Rs55,900 for the IELTS Academic Test on the computer.
The cost of the IELTS General Training test on paper is Rs62,200, and for the computer-based test, it is Rs55,900.
