ISLAMABAD: The interim government has increased the price of petrol by Rs13.55 to Rs272.89 for the upcoming two weeks.

Whereas the rate of diesel has also been jacked up by Rs2.75.

This recent surge in prices is linked to the prevailing tensions in the Middle East, where Israel is actively engaged in conflict with Gaza.

Revised petroleum prices will be implemented from midnight on February 1.

According to a statement released by the Finance Division, the Government of Pakistan has opted to adjust the current rates of petroleum products for the two-week period commencing on February 1, 2024, based on recommendations from the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA).
