2024 National Assembly Election Outcome: Updated Party Positions
The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has released provisional results for 250 out of 265 constituencies, with vote counting ongoing two days after polling.
The election, held on February 8 across Pakistan, encompassed 264 National Assembly seats, as voting in NA-8 was postponed due to a candidate’s death.
According to unofficial figures shared by the ECP on Form 47, the current party standings are as follows:
Independent candidates lead with 99 seats, followed by PML-N with 71 and PPPP with 53.
PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif called for unity among political parties and independent winners to form a joint government, termed the “Unity Government,” to tackle the country’s crises. He tasked Shehbaz Sharif with meeting Asif Ali Zardari, Maulana Fazlur Rehman, and Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui for this purpose.
