In Karachi, as well as other cities in Sindh like Hyderabad, citizens must acquire a valid driving license to avoid legal repercussions for operating cars or motorcycles without one.

The Driving License Sindh department is responsible for issuing licenses for cars, motorcycles, and other vehicles to drivers who pass both theoretical and practical tests.

Individuals, whether male or female, who are at least 18 years old are eligible to apply for a driving license. Before visiting the D.L. Branch, it is mandatory to acquire an online pre-appointment.

Once the pre-appointment token is obtained, the applicant must physically appear at the designated driving license branch with their original Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC).

Following registration, the applicant must undergo a medical fitness examination administered by a medical officer, as stipulated in the Motor Vehicle Ordinance of 1965.
