Commissioner Rawalpindi Liaquat Ali Chatta has announced his resignation after admitting the irregularities in the general elections.
While adressing a press conference at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, Commissioner Rawalpindi said that I did injustice in Rawalpindi Division during the elections, we changed the lost candidates to 50,000 lead, 13 MNAs of Rawalpindi Division were defeated, they were given 70,000 lead and played with the country.
Liaqaut Ali Chatta said, “I accept the responsibility of the election rigging in Rawalpindi Division and handover myself to the police announcing my resignation from my post, I should be given the death penalty in Rawalpindi’s Kachehri Chowk.
He added that Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) and Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) are also involved in the rigging of the election, along with me, these people should also resign from their positions.
Moreover, we have done wrong to this country, the work I have done does not in any way beautify me, I resign from my post and service.
Furthermore, who is doing the wrong thing? Who did it? Nothing is hidden, I was pressured by social media and overseas Pakistanis, I tried to commit suicide this morning after Fajr prayer, then I thought, why should I put these things in front of the public, why should I die a forbidden death, I am going through grief and political people are going around to become ministers after salvating Sherwani, the stab in the back of the country does not let me sleep, I want a peaceful death while removing the burden of my grief.
