The Punjab government has introduced a revised fee schedule for all types of driving licenses throughout the province.
After a 20-year hiatus, the traffic department has significantly raised the fees.
The provincial government has raised the fee for learner driving licenses from Rs 60 to Rs 500.
Previously, the government charged a fee of Rs550 for a motorcycle driving license with a five-year validity. However, starting January 1, 2024, it will collect Rs 500 annually for the license.
Earlier, the Punjab government charged a fee of Rs 950 for a five-year driving license for cars or jeeps. However, it will now collect Rs 1,800 annually from citizens for the same license.
