
Pakistan weather forecast; scattered rains expected
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecasted partially cloudy weather and rainfall of variable strengths for parts of Pakistan on Monday evening/night and the next two days.
As per the synoptic situation, a low westerly wave conquers over most parts of Pakistan.
Under these circumstances, rain-wind/thunderstorm is likely in southwestern Balochistan, Kashmir and adjoining hilly areas on Monday evening/night.
Freezing weather is likely in upper parts. Cold and partly cloudy weather is likely in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and elsewhere in the country.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, rain-wind/thunderstorm is likely in coastal areas of Makran.
Light rain-wind/thunderstorm is also expected at isolated places in Kashmir and adjoining hilly areas. Cold weather is likely in upper parts. Light fog may likely occur at few places in plain areas of northeast Punjab during morning and night hours. Cold and dry weather is likely in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and elsewhere in the country.
Islamabad’s minimum temperatures will likely remain between 02-04 degrees Celsius on Tuesday and 01-03 C on Wednesday.
Rawalpindi’s minimum temperatures will likely remain between 05-07 C on Tuesday and 04-06 C on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, cold and partly cloudy weather prevailed in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and most parts of the country during the last 24 hours.
Freezing weather prevailed in upper parts. Rain occurred at isolated places of South Punjab, Karachi, Gawadar, Jiwani and Turbat.
Leh remained the coldest place in the province where temperature fallen 12 C below freezing.
In Islamabad, lowest temperature was recorded at 03 C. Relative humidity during the morning was recorded 86 per cent.
In Rawalpindi, lowest temperature was recorded at 06 C. Relative humidity during the morning was recorded 62 percent.
