
PPP, allies to form Balochistan government
Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has decided to form a government in Balochistan together with its allies, Bol News reported.
The newly elected members of the Provincial Assembly of the PPP from Bolochistan held a meeting at the residence of Sarfraz Bugti in Islamabad.
In the meeting, the newly Member of Balochistan Assembly Sadiq Imrani said that the people have given us the majority, so it is our right to form the government.
Sadiq Imrani further added that Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) will join our alliance in Balochistan, the party leadership that will be nominated by the Chief Minister will be accepted by all of us.
It should be noted that in the elections held on February 8, 11 out of 51 seats of the Balochistan Assembly, 11 seats were won by the PPP and JUI while the PML-N was succesful in 10 seats.
Moreover, 6 seats were won by independent candidates while 4 were won by Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) and 3 by National Party (NP).
Earlier, on Friday, a meeting of coordination committees of PML-N and PPP on the issue of government formation has been postponed.
According to the sources, the matters of government formation were to be finalized in the meeting, the meeting was postponed due to consultation with the leadership of the PML-N committee.
However, a joint meeting of the coordination committees of both the parties will be held today for consultation on the issue of government formation.
