PTI nominates Mian Aslam Iqbal, Salar Khan for Punjab, Balochistan CM slots
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaaf Founder Imran Khan has endorsed the nomination of Mian Aslam Iqbal and Salar Khan for chief minister slots of the Punjab and Balochistan respectively.
This was disclosed by PTI leader Gohar Ali Khan along with party figures Sher Afzal Marwat and Mashal Yousafzai while addressing a presser on Thursday.
Additionally, Aqibullah Khan has been named as PTI’s contender for the Speaker position in the KP Assembly, where independent candidates supported by PTI-back majority.
Asserting that the PTI secured 180 seats in the February 8 elections, Khan accused another party (PML-N) of orchestrating electoral theft despite barely clinching 20 seats, with intentions to govern.

He emphasized PTI’s appeals to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) and the judiciary to swiftly address the 70 reported instances of rigging, aiming to reclaim the purportedly stolen mandate.
“We will maintain a strong opposition stance in the National Assembly until we regain our rightful mandate, but there will be no agreements for power-sharing with PPP, PML-N, or MQM,” declared Gohar Ali Khan.
Gohar Khan concluded his address to the media by announcing that his party would organize a peaceful protest across Pakistan on Saturday, joined by several other parties that have expressed discontentment over the election outcomes.
He called upon all party supporters and workers to carry Pakistan flags during the protest.
Khan noted that ANP, JUI-F, JIP, GDA, and numerous other parties have raised objections regarding the election results.
